Get up close and personal with exotic animals at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, which also houses the world’s rarest giraffe herd, or visit the Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center for its incredible hiking trails, rock climbing opportunities, and segway tours. Equestrian lovers flock to the Fox Run Regional Park, as its sprawling property is home to numerous trails perfect for horseback riding. The park also has lake access and plenty of shaded areas for picnics.

The Olympic and Paralympic Training Center is another notable place to visit. Here, guests can tour the complex and meander through the on-site Hall of Fame.
